I happened to see that the iron doors were opened and people could go down to the beach of the River Thames when I was walking along the Southwalk. (I have a feeling that we couldn't do that before.)
So I bought a bottle of water in a hurry and step down the stairs to the sandbank and collected the sand of The River Thames in it, for the project in the future.
You can see St Paul's Cathedral in wright hand side.
Last week I was in Basel Switzerland to join the "Art Basel 2013". It will be the third year since my works were exhibited in Art Basel by Gallery Koyanagi but it is the first year for me to visit there. The red and white paintings were painted with the fired sand collected from the River Kamo in Kyoto. I participated the vernissage on the first day. I enjoyed a lot of fortunate meeting with people who could share the joy of Art, as well the joy of tranquility around my painting in the crowd.
